Following the words ordered by President Obama for veterans this week, TheraCare Health & Wellness has a program that will help Veterans transition to the private sector.
“For the last year, we have taught our Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA) course successfully,” said Deirdre Pippins, Administrator. “All of our students have completed our course and many have gone on to pass the state exam. Now some of our graduates work in the hospital, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or in private homes. We want the same success for Veterans.”
“Right now, TheraCare has access to resources where Veterans can join the CNA training program on scholarship This means for a short time, the program is FREE to Veterans,” Pippins said..

We have been providing services for five years and are glad to be able to extend our services to men and women who have kept our freedoms. We welcome all Vets from all services and look forward to working with them,” Pippins continued.
Outside of CNAI training, TheraCare also provides home care services which includes assistance with daily living skills (ADL) such as bathing, feeding, transfers, dressing and ambulation, as well as Indirect Activities of Daily Living (IADL) such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, running errands, and home management. TheraCare opened in Gastonia in September 2004.
